Published in the journal of Consumer Research, scientists have found people are less likely to purchase unhealthy foods when they go grocery shopping if you pay cash instead of those bad credit or debit cards in plastic.
When analyzing shopping carts of families USA 1000 more than six months, the researchers observed carts contained more impulse buy or junk food when people pay with credit or debit cards and cash.
